International Journal of Performability Engineering (IJPE): Special Issue
Call for papers: Special Issue on Prognostics and Health Management (PHM)
Guest Editors: Daniel K. Lau and Sony Mathew
Special Issue Description:
Many leading transnational companies in the world are currently working on implementing various PHM methodologies and solutions into their products and systems. The areas of application include automobiles, computers, power supplies, consumer products, avionics, and aerospace, medical devices and health care, software development, equipment qualification and testing, and many others. These leading companies are fast realizing the effective benefits and the competitive advantage which PHM can create for their business in the longer term. It is now widely acknowledged that the eventual return-on-investment (ROI) is significant for organizations in applying PHM to the effective management of the product life cycle and the health status of the product in any given time frame.
This Special Issue on Prognostics and Health Management will serve to provide the most up-to-date status of research and application on PHM especially in the Asia Pacific region. The objective is to bring together research works which can reflect in a timely way the various developments and trends in PHM methodologies, technologies, and adaptations. The guest editors would like to invite researchers working in the area of PHM to submit their research papers to IJPE and to avail themselves of this unique opportunity to publish their work in IJPE. Don’t miss this Special Issue on PHM.
